Meados do Séc. XX – Coleção Museu do TrajeThe women of Areosa also dedicated themselves to agricultural and marine activities on the coastal strip of this parish. As in Afife and Carreço, these women did not have a specific costume for the tasks at sea, so they used the week’s clothes. These costumes consisted of a striped skirt, a striped apron tied with a rope, a Chita blouse (traditional Portuguese cotton fabric) and a straw hat.
